Washington State Treasurer Launches Redesigned Web Site

 August 2009

OLYMPIA, WA — The Office of the State Treasurer went live with its redesigned website today.  It’s been nearly a decade since the old web site was developed and it needed a major remodel.  Our new site - built on the strengths of the old site –incorporates new ideas and technology along with a more intuitive functionality to help support a rapidly changing financial landscape.

“I’m pleased to launch our new site,” McIntire said. “Whether you are an investor or tax payer I hope you find the added statistics and reports helpful when you evaluate how Washington State manages its finances.”

To view the new web site visit: http://www.tre.wa.gov

Those who are familiar with the old site will notice big changes in layout, features and design. The changes are intended to make the site more functional and interesting, while making the office much more transparent.

From the homepage you can:

  • Compare our performance against industry-standard benchmarks by clicking on one of the Measuring Performance links.
  • Learn what the State Treasurer’s office does for you by searching the About Us menu.
  • Discover public and private resources for assistance with your questions regarding state financial agencies and federal programs by selecting one of the options under Resources.

For local governments, enhanced features help track investments, monitor revenue distribution, evaluate program information and analyze data that will assist in making public financing decisions.
