Landowners plan to file suit with growth hearings board

9/26/02 - WA State Farm Bureau report: A GROUP OF ELLENSBURG LANDOWNERS PLANS TO FILE A PETITION WITH THE Eastern Washington Growth Management Hearings Board in an effort to invalidate a Kittitas County ordinance that allows the development of wind farms. (Yakima Herald-Republic, Sept. 26) The landowners are concerned about windmills spoiling their views and lowering property values, and argue that the ordinance violates the state's Growth Management Act.
