Politicians currently in office have let us down - Gas tax at 43 cents with few improvements over past 16 years
9/20/02
We pay 43 cents per gallon in fuel tax and have only a few improvements to show for over the past 16 years. Watching Boeing fly away while twisting the arm of small business is not good economic policy. Especially when our world is so much smaller and competitive jobs are the name of the game. Private health insurance companies, like my own, are dropping Washington state policy holders like we have some sort of bureaucratic plague. The responsible costs of medical care have nowhere to go but up. Thank you very much. Atypical, Burlington schools, as reported in the Hansen House articles, have $620,000 less in their budget this year. Taxes increase, the tax base grows, the money disappears and that's the way it goes. As wonderful of individuals as those now in office are, their leadership has undeniably let us down. We need a transfusion. We need new blood. Marty McNett, Alger |
