(Port Angeles) -- The state Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of adding fluoride to the city of Port Angeles water supply.

The court this week upheld a lower court ruling that public water fluoridation is exempt from the state's Environmental Policy Act.

A group of fluoridation opponents filed the appeal and yesterday said they would continue the fight. In a prepared statement, Eloise Kalin said her group is disappointed in the ruling, but pointed out there may still be room for another legal challenge.

She said the appeal court ruled on a legal interpretation of the law, not the right of the entire population to make choices about what they put in their bodies.
