Vying for chair of the State GOP: Experience is Important to Sharon Bumala

Sharon Bumala of Battleground Washington is vying for the WSRP (Washington State Republican Party) chair. With 26 years of experience working for the GOP (Grand Old Party), Bumala is ready to tackle many issues on the party’s behalf.

Some of her objectives are: purge the voter rolls of illegal voters, groom candidates for all levels of government, raise money early to help candidates, establish Legislative and Congressional Committees in all districts. articulate the party platform issues clearly and strongly to win supporters, and move the Primary election up to May or early June.

The mother of four children and three grandchildren wants to attract new members to the party through aggressive outreach to other like minded groups. Training poll watchers and workers how to protect the sanctity of the polls is also important to Bumala.

Reaching out to all voters in 39 counties with the Republican message is a goal for Bumala, who has worked hard for candidates in many elections. She was Finance Director/Director of Mail and Telemarketing/Director of GOTV (Get Out The Vote) of the Linda Smith for U.S. Senate Campaign.

Other Campaigns and Organizations Bumala worked on are: Senate Republicans Campaign Committee, Dick McEntee for State Auditor, State Director of the Forbes for President Campaign, Zarelli for Congress, Young Americans Foundation-Reagan Ranch, Community Relations Representative for the U. S. House of Representatives, Manager of Bob Chamberlain for State House, Shared Hope International, Western Regional Field Director of Christian Coalition, Truckee Meadows Community College Instructor, Director of Development for Citizens United, Crowson for Congress, The Leadership Council, and Polis Political Systems.

During the past two and a half decades, Sharon Bumala participated in diverse appointments and volunteer activities. Some of the activities are:

US Commission on Civil Rights Washington State Advisory Board, Republican National Convention Delegate, Member of Republican National Convention Rules Committee, Washington State Presidential Elector, Member Clark County & WSRP Platform Committee, Candidate for Washington State Senate, Chairwoman, 18th Legislative District Republican Committee, Clark County Events Coordinator for Bush-Cheney 2004,Washington State Co-Chair of Coalition for the Bush 2000 Committee, Executive Board Member Clark County Republican Party, PCO (Precinct Committee Officer) Precinct 586, Founding Board Member and former Advisory Board Member for Shared Hope International, State Committeewoman, President and Founder of Eagle Forum Chapter in Clark County. And Clark County Right to Life Speakers Bureau.
