EDC may get funding boost; City to 'prime the pump' with $150,000

Port Angeles, WA -- Clallam County's Economic Development Council could be in line for an economic boost, to the tune of $2.5 million, according to a report from Councilwoman Karen Rogers to the City Council last night.

The funding would come from the Northwest Area Foundation

To begin the process, the city would put up about $150,000 to prime the pump In other action last night, the Council approved selling 17 and a half acres of Parks property to the Port of Port Angeles, for expanding the Airport's area, according to a mandate from the Federal Aviation Authority.

The property is West of L street, and has been part of the Lincoln Park property, which totals 150-acres. The sale price was appraised and set at $52,000 .
