LOVELL, Wyo. (AP) - The National Park Service has released for public comment an environmental study of whether personal watercraft such as jet skis should be allowed at Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area.
The public comment period began June 9 and will end July 11, according to the National Park Service.

Three alternatives are proposed. They include a no-action alternative under which personal watercraft use would not be allowed to resume on the reservoir straddling the Montana-Wyoming line.

Alternative A calls for reinstating personal watercraft use under a special regulation in accordance with Park Service management polices, as well as local practices and state regulations.
