Tourism report says 2002 'not a bad year for tourism'

(Port Angeles, WA) -- The State office of Tourism brought its 2002 Report to Port Angeles Wednesday, in conjunction with the North Olympic Peninsula Visitor and Convention Bureau. Betsy Gabel, Consumer Marketing Manager, says 2002 was not a bad year for tourism

The counties included in the 2002 report were Clallam, Kitsap and Jefferson.

Among the top ten activities listed were sightseeing, Number One, Hiking, wildlife viewing and visiting historical sites.

74 percent of visitors from Washington state responded that they "would definitely return next year."
