DRMT to hold meeting to hear Bureau of Reclamation river report

Sequim, WA - 10/24/01 - A special meeting of the DRMT [Dungeness River Management Team] is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Tribal Community Center in Blyn.  The Bureau of Reclamation will present their completed work on the Dungeness River.  They plan to summarize their final report, "Geomorphology of the Lower Dungeness", according to a memo put out this past week.

Discussions will include the lower river (Army Corps dike), the Railroad Bridge reach, the Dungeness Meadows dike, and more.The study members will provide information that will "be very useful" to future large restoration projects on the river, the memo stated.

The presenters will include Jennifer Bountry, hydraulic engineer, Bureau of Reclamation, from Denver, Colorado, Tim Randle (1) , hydraulic engineer, Bureau of Reclamation, from Denver, Colorado, Lucy Piety, geomorphologist, Denver, Colorado; and Dave Nelson, project funding.
